Freezing or tapping fingers when performing an edit or deleting a portion of a file in Sound Designer II 2.8.3
 
A:
When Sound Designer 2.8.3 performs an edit, it writes a temp file to a drive so that the edit can be undone if desired. If the drive that this temp file is being written to is full or fragmented this problem can occur. The program defaults to writing the temp file to the system drive. Go under the Setup menu to Temp File Location and choose a different drive.
