May 16, 2001DigiSystem INIT 5.0.1cs8 Read MeFor Pro Tools III systems with 2001 G4 (4 PCI slot) MacintoshPro Tools III hardware systems with the Pro Tools software release version of 5.0.1 do not work with the new 4 PCI slot G4 models. Pro Tools 5.1 does not support Pro Tools III systems. Because Pro Tools III hardware is currently not supported with Pro Tools 5.1, we have developed this software update that may allow Pro Tools III users to run Pro Tools 5.0.1 software in the 2001 G4 macs.We have reports from users in limited testing that this version of DigiSystem INIT 5.0.1cs8 allows Pro Tools III hardware and Pro Tools 5.0.1 software to work in the new G4 models.
