Q:
Pro Tools 5.0 with Expanded Pro Tools III System
A:
March 03, 2000 - Bug: Creating a new session in PT 5.0 on an expanded PTIII system only allows 16 voices. You should have 16 voices per Disk I/O (A, B, and C), up to 48. Workaround: 1. Launch Pro Tools. 2. Open the Playback Engine dialog (Setups menu). 3. Under "Select Engine" click the "Project" button then click the "Disk I/O" button. 4. Create or open a session. 5) If a dialog asks "Would you like to switch to the previous playback engine?" click No. This setting is now saved in the DigiSetup file, as well as in sessions created/modified with the 32 or 48 voice engine active.Fix: This was fixed in PT 5.0.1
