"Pro Tools is unable to establish communication with the HUI" error when using a Radical Technologies SAC2k controller with Pro Tools LE / TDM 5.1 1

In the Peripherals menu, the Motor Mix and SAC2k controllers need to be set up as a HUI.In Pro Tools, these Midi Control surfaces need to be set up as an input device in the MIDI menu. One symptom that this is not setup correctly is that moving faders on the Pro Tools mix window will move the controller's faders, but you will not get the reverse.
