What is the difference between the Control|24 faders and ProControl faders?

The Control|24 Alps fader has an analog resistive track wiper which is converted to a 10 bit position (1024 steps) but it only moves to 8 bit resolution (256 steps). Inherently it isn't as accurate or linear as the 10 bit Digifader which is completely digital.The Digifader is considered a 10 bit Digital fader, and has a total of resolution of 1024 steps, which is determined by the encoder. The C24 is an Analog fader. The position of the analog wiper is converted to digital on the fader motor control board, so the steps are not absolute like on the Digifader
