Q:
After opening an embedded OMF in Pro Tools 5.1.3/DigiTranslator 2.0 it is impossible to edit a waveform with the Pencil Tool (a small "Lock" symbol shows up next to the cursor).
A:
While Pro Tools 5.1.3 with DigiTranslator 2.0 can open an embedded OMF file, it will not let you make destructive changes to the audio. To make these changes you must first save the OMF as a separate Pro Tools session and copy the audio files. To do this you can use Save Session Copy In, or open a new session and use Import Tracks.
