Q:
I've paid for and downloaded the mp3 option for my Windows Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 system. When I try to import or export an mp3 file, it asks for a key diskette.
A:
- Check the version of the mp3.dll file in C;\Program Files\Digidesign\DAE\Codecs\MP3. - If it is version 1.1.1.0 delete it. Download the mp3 option for Windows version 1.1.1.330 (from www.digidesign.com) and place the mp3.dll in the same directory. - Delete the DAE Prefs folder in C;\Program Files\Digidesign\DAE.- Relaunch Pro Tools LE and when importing or exporting an MP3 file, you should be prompted to enter an authorization code from the email that you received when purchasing the MP3 option.
