Q:
MIDI sent from Pro Tools to Soft SampleCell is playing back the wrong octave or the wrong sample. For example, samples that should be triggered by C4 are being triggered by C3 instead.
A:
Pro Tools has a setting for the MIDI Note Display (Setups > Preferences > MIDI) which will determine which note equals "Middle C". This setting defaults to C3, whereas Soft SampleCell defaults to C4. To align "Middle C" in the two programs, simply toggle this preference setting to C4.
