"Pro Tools hardware is either not installed or used by another program" error when launching Pro Tools LE

In one case, this error was posted when a DVD ROM (data) was mounted in an external FireWire SuperDrive. Ejecting the DVD before launching Pro Tools LE resolved the conflict.
