How to export Quicktime DV movies from an Avid that can be played in Pro Tools through the Firewire port with the Canopus ADVC-100 Firewire to video converter.

Enable the following export options in the Avid: Flatten video tracks Fill in spaces with black Render all video effectsMake sure "Use Avid Codec" is not enabled.These export settings can be saved in Avid XPressDV3.0 as a default, simplifying future media exchange.
