After converting an OMF file from a Avid Film composer to Pro Tools using DigiTranslator, I cannot use the pencil tool. The pencil tool is greyed out with a little lock symbol.

OMFI audio files (which are generated by Film Composer) are treated as "read only." If you want to destructively modify the files, you can use the AudioSuite Duplicate plug-in on the regions you want to modify.
