When a session has grown to include many plug-ins and much internal routing (Sends, Aux Inputs), the Master Fader level meter slowly creeps up into the red, even when no signal is being sent. It looks similar to routing a feedback loop, but happens for no reason.

The Dithered Mixer plug-in (v5.1.1b2) was the problem. Reverting back to the standard, 24-bit Optimized Mixer plug-in resolved the issue.
