Q:
Type 2 error when launching Pro Tools 5.x.

A:
This can happen if OMS becomes corrupted. Reinstall OMS 2.3.8 from the Pro Tools installer CD and restart the Mac. Then go to System Folder > OMS Folder > OMS Preferences. Find the file "OMS Current State," put it in the trash, empty the trash. If problems persist for Digi 001 users, find the file "Digi001OMSMidiDriver" in System Folder > OMF Folder and temporarily place it on the desktop while attempting to launch Pro Tools LE.
