Q:
6042 with Aurora fuse
A:
4/5/2001Here are some things you can try to reduce -6042 errors when using an aurora fuse card with Pro Tools:*320x240, less than 1meg/sec data transfer rate.*use the aurora codec*remember that a session already on the 6042 edge can be pushed over the edge when a QT movie is played.... you are adding to the pci traffic with the movie.*set the video track to view by block instead of picon track to advoid screen flickering when you drop your insertion point down, or scroll the edit window.*make sure the aurora drivers are set to display the movie on the NTSC/PAL monitor only and not on the floating QT movie window.*position the floating QT window at the bottom of your screen so that only the top bar is visible... eliminates making the computer display that window's graphics.
