Sometimes software doesn't successfully store the identity of the port to which your modem is connected. The software may have fallen back to its default of the Printer-Modem port. Or, you might have inserted the modem into a different slot than you used last time. Check the connection settings of your software; for the port, select either upper card slot or lower card slot as appropriate.
