Saving a preset is done by pressing the SAVE button on the front panel of the unit. Part of the SAVE process involves selecting which preset location you wish to save the changes to the preset you are editing. This makes it easy to do the equivalent of a "Save As" operation in a computer, essentially saving your edited preset to a new location. IMPORTANT: Realize that if you save your preset to a location that has preset data already at that location, the destination data will be over-written by the new data and there is no "un-doing" this operation without re-initializing the unit back to the factory defaults. Also realize that when you have completed the save operation, the Proteus 2000 takes you back to the original preset you saved from. So make sure you know the preset location of where you saved to!!! The user presets are "copies" of the ROM presets, so no need to worry about losing presets when saving.
