1 - Concentrate your computer for its task. When using a computer for digital audio / digital video applications, it is important not to install unrelated hardware and software. The more hardware and software that you add to your system, the more likely you are to have problems with it. If you want to play games, surf the Internet, design a house, and run your business on computer, buy another system.
2 - Make sure your SCSI bus is properly terminated.
3 - Check for conflicting SCSI ID numbers.
4 - Check for bent pins on all SCSI cable.
5 - Check for too much cable length.
6 - Check for the correct drive firmware for your application

• Why can't I access my SCSI bus on my Macintosh?
Some Macs have 2 SCSI buses ... an internal and an external. Be sure you have selected the proper SCSI bus within your software and that all cables are securely connected and the end of the SCSI chain is properly terminated.

• Why won't my computer recognize my Glyph Drive?
If you're using a PC Compatible computer, make sure that you have a compatible SCSI card installed. Glyph recommends the Adaptec 2940 or better. Make sure that all cables are securely connected and the end of the SCSI chain is properly terminated.

• How do I format my hard drive with my PC?
Use the FWB Hard Disk Tookit PE (HDT PE) software included with your Glyph drive. It is a hybrid disk that works with both Mac and PC.

• Iomega Jaz Jet incompatible with PC/E6400.
A PC with Win95 using the Iomega Jaz Jet will not recognize a e-mu E6400. An Adaptec SCSI adapter should work fine.

NO formatting utility can detect drives connected to the ProTools card. Move your drives to a regular SCSI bus to format.
