What you need to do is actually COPY your effects and Plugins over as parameters over to this new driver by going to
Audio > Audio Configuration > and go the DEVICE menu...
where you will find the current driver in use...
go to EDIT menu and choose COPY
then go back to the DEVICE menu and choose your new driver
go to EDIT and choose PASTE
and then your parameters and effects will all transfer to your newly chosen driver..
