Q:
How do I get my Tascam US428 to work with Cakewalk Sonar as a control surface?
A:
If you have Sonar version 2.0 or greater, you can go to Options - Control Surfaces and click the yellow + button on the screen to add a device (or if you have already done this step, you can double-click on US-428). Choose US-428 and the input and output port should be US-428 Control. If you do not have US-428 control as a selection, close out of this menu and go to Options - MIDI Devices and enable the US-428 Control ports on both input and output. Click OK and everything should work.

How do I use HyperScribe with click and countoff? I recorded with Hyperscribe, and I've got music on the staff now, but it was not exactly what I played. What happened? When opening a Stationary Pad session from the workspace in Pro Tools 6.0, it is treated like an ordinary session and can be edited. Opening from the Finder is fine. Attempting to preview audio in the regions bin when no output paths are assigned causes a crash. Pro Tools 6.0 is missing the horizontal scroll bar in the Regions bin. Thus, it is impossible to horizontally scroll/reveal/hide file names in the audio regions bin. |
