Q:
How do I set up a DM2000 as a control surface in LOGIC?
A:
1) Make sure you are connected with the computer either using a MIDI interface with bi-directional midi connections, or the USB connector built into the unit (DM2000, O2R96)
2) If using OMS, please make sure that you have configured OMS to include the USB driver for the unit. In Logic: 1) Go to OPTIONS > CONTROL SURFACES > INSTALL 2) Select DM2000 Port 1 in the Install window, Choose ADD, then choose Port 1 of the 02R96's USB MIDI driver for the MIDI in and Out ports in the Setup window. 3) Select DM2000 Port 2/3 in the Install window, Choose ADD, then choose Port 2 of the O2R96's USB MIDI driver for the MIDI In and Out ports in the setup window. 4) Select DM2000 Port 2/3 in the Install window, Choose ADD, then choose Port 3 of the O2R96's USB MIDI driver for the MIDI In and Out ports in the setup window. On the DM2000: 1) Press DISPLAY ACCESS (setup), then F4(below the LCD). Now move the cursor to the port parameters right to DAW, select USB and right to it 1-3. 2) Press DISPLAY ACCESS (remote) for the TARGET parameter, choose PROTOOLS 3) Press LAYER (remote).
