Symptoms may include the inability to select the drive in the authorizer application (ex. it may be greyed-out or not visible) or you may encounter a "Result Code 31 - SCSI or IDE Drive required - Please install one of these". Authorizations can only take place on Apple SCSI bus 0 or 1. The workaround is to temporarily connect the drive to a standard Apple bus and authorize the hard drive while connected to the bux. Once the drive is authorized, it can be reconnected to the PCI SCSI bus.
