Control Track is a Mark of the Unicorn propriety sync format. It carries word clock and address information over one standard Mac serial cable. Control track is currently implemented on the Digital Timepiece and on the PCI card and the full line of MOTU audio interfaces.

With a Digital Timepiece and a 2408 you can do sample-accurate digital transfers between Tascam DA 88's and DA 38's (and other Tascam devices). The DTP sends Control Track to the PCI-324 card of the 2408 and it also sends Tascam sync to the DA 88, all while referencing a sample location.
