Q:
MOTU Issue: How do I move my Sync Point within a Soundbite in Digital Performer 2.7?
A:
A Sync Point in a soundbite anchors the sample location to the location in the sequence, allowing you to time stretch around that anchor using the hand tool in the Audio Graphic Editor.
There can be a little confusion on how to move a Sync Point to a different spot within the Soundbite. There are two methods. In the Audio Graphic Editor: Pop edit the soundbite by double clicking the region. Single click on the desired area you wish to add the Sync Point. Choose "Set Sync Point" from the Audio menu or the following key command: This method either adds a Sync Point to the Soundbite, or replaces the existing Sync point with a new one. In the Sample Editor: Select the Soundbite in the Audio Graphic Editor and choose "Edit in Waveform Editor" from the Audio menu or in the Soundbites window double click the Soundbite name. In the stand alone Audio Waveform Editor, you can click drag the Sync Point icon to it's desired location.
