Q:
MOTU Issue: My PCI-324 card doesn't see my 2408/1224/24i/308/1296
A:
Follow these steps should the PCI-324 console and/or the Configure Hardware Driver (only in Digital Performer/ Audio Desk) fail to publish the name of the audio interface you are working with.
-Ensure the unit is turned on. Sometimes with the 2408 and/or the 308 it is necessary to turn the unit off and back on for the driver to detect the interface. -From within the Configure Hardware Driver window, select PCI-324(Digital Performer/Audio Desk only). -From within either the PCI-324 Console or Configure Hardware window, select PCI-324: Internal as the clock source. -Hit the Refresh button near the bottom of the window. This will send a message to the audio interface. With proper communication this will cause the interface to cycle through it's current settings. -Check the integrity of the audio wire connections from both the interface and the PCI-324 card to make sure they are fully inserted and in place. -For the 1296, version 2.1.2 of the MOTU Audio System and 1.5 of the PCI-324 driver are required.
