Why does my AKAI S Series Sampler say I have 5 Mwords when I know I have 10 Mbytes installed!
A:
The display is correct. Since the AKAI S SERIES are 16 bit samplers, one Mword equals 2 Mbytes. Just multiply the value you see on the display by '2' to get the amount of memory installed.
