Q:
After installing Logic 6.1 on OS X, Reason no longer works properly.
A:
After having installed Logic 6.1 on OS X, it's not possible to load any samples in Reason or opening Songs which uses samples from any Refills. Attempting to load the missing files results in a "Bad format" error message.
The culprit of this bug is that the Logic 6.1 installer replaces the REX Shared Library file with a corrupt version of this file. To fix this, do the following: 1. Make sure that no applications are running. 2. Locate the REX Shared library file on your Hard disk, it's stored in: Macintosh HD -> Library -> Application Support 3. Delete this file. 4. Dowload a new version of this file by clicking here (OS X file). 5. Unstuff the downloaded file 6. Place this new REX Shared Library File, where the older file was stored, i.e. in: Macintosh HD -> Library -> Application Support
