Q:
When I browse for a sample with any of the samplers or a REX file with the Dr REX the volume of that file is higher when I listen to the file using auto play in the browser, than when I have loaded the file in the Reason unit?
A:
This is perfectly normal. Any audio file that is loaded into any of the Reason units will be attenuated - lowered in volume. This is because if Reason didn't do this, You would have a polyphony of one (1) voice. You would be unable to use more than one sample or play any chords with samplers if Reason didn't create a virtual headroom by attenuating the samples like this.
