The arpeggios of the Motif-Rack do transmit out via MIDI, however you have to turn the output ON and assign a MIDI transmit channel for the arpeggio data. This can be (and probably should be) a different channel than you are triggering it with. In a MULTI program that contains an active arpeggio, you can edit the setup by pressing [SHIFT]+[ARP EDIT], cursor DOWN to find the OUTPUT SWITCH and the TRANSMIT CH parameters. You can select a different channel than the one you are transmitting to the ‘Rack. This data can then be used to trigger other MIDI devices or recorded to an external sequencer. It is important to know that in any arpeggio scenario you are dealing with the trigger notes (the notes actually pressed on the controller) and then separately the output of the arpeggio (the notes generated by the arpeggiator itself). These can be and usually are quite different. For example you might press and hold down for 4 measures a Cmajor 7 chord on your controller, the result of the arpeggio output could sound like 64 notes played one after the other in rapid succession. You could record the held CMajor chord on one MIDI channel and the 64 dancing notes on another
