See Chapter 4, page 13 in the Digital Performer 4 Getting Started Guide. This chapter explains how to use OSX AudioMidi Setup (CoreMIDI) to configure your MIDI gear.

TIP - be sure to have the latest OS X drivers for your MIDI devices/interfaces. Check the manufacturer websites for drivers and updates.
