MIDI Patch Thru works fine in DP4 until I bring another application to the foreground (like Reason, etc).
 
A:
"Patch Thru in background" is an option in DP4 that defaults to being OFF. To enable this feature, choose "Midi Patch Thru..." from the STUDIO menu. Click next to "Patch Thru in background" to make the dot blue (ON).
