If the Cubase/Reason fix didn't work, you can try searching your hard drive for a file called rewire.dll . There should be one located in the Cubase directory and one in the Reason directory. Delete both of these. Restart Reason, and it will create new ones of matching version number.

Or you can upgrade to Reason 2.5. It does not exhibit these problems.
