Q:
When installing MachFive, should I install the included sounds?
A:
MachFive ships with over 4 gigabytes (GB) of included samples. It is possible to install MachFive only (without its included samples), but to get started, and to see examples of how MachFive data can be organized in your MachFive folder, it is recommended that you install at least a small set of the included sounds. (You can always install more included samples later.) To use MachFive, you do need samples on a local hard drive. You can use the included sample from the soundbank disc, or you can import samples from another format.
