Q:
Reaktor 4 will not delete from trash.
A:
Remove the Reaktor 4 installation by dragging the application to the trash. You can also trash the preferences from the Library>Preferences folder. They are called Reaktor4.plist and com.reaktor4.plist respectively. If the program refuses to delete from trash, it may be locked. Take the icon out of the trash and put it on the desktop. Highlight the icon by clicking on it once. Then type apple-I. You should see a box that says "locked". If this is checked, uncheck it and try to delete the application. Alternatively, you can hold down the option (apple) key while choosing "empty trash" from the finder. This will force delete any locked items in the trash. A second possibility is to use a third party application to delete locked items from within the terminal application. A good free program is called "Cocktail" it has many functions, one of them being to force empty the trash.

I really need to figure out how in Reaktor to make a waveset and in the manual it does not describe how this is done? In FruityLoops Studio 4 and Cubase SX 1.05 when reaktor 4 is saved in a song and reopened it always ends up loading the default snapshot, not the snapshot that was chosen and saved in the song. I've installed and authorized reaktor 4 in OS X but when I click on it to run the program in bounces in the dock 3 times then stops and nothing happens. I am trying to use Reaktor with an M-Audio soundcard. I installed the NI pro tools edition(battery/b4/pro-52) plugins and my direct connect plugins for absynth 1.3.4 and kontakt 1.2.1 disappeared from the plugin menu, but still reside in the DAE plugin folder. how can i get those back into the menu? I'm trying to use UVI-Xtract to convert large Giga files that are stored across more than one CD. The files are labled ".gi!", and UVI-Xtract doesn't see them. |
