CD track markers are different than normal track markers and are notated by a small C next to the marker number in the marker window of the display; for example 01c.
To place a CD track marker, place the timeline where you would like to seperate the 1st and 2nd track, no track marker is needed for the first track.
Now press and hold the CDRW/Mastering button, then press the Tap button. You have now created 1 track marker, repeat the steps for subsequent tracks.
