Q:
Can I use my Tascam FW1884 as a control surface in Cakewalk Sonar? If so, how?
A:
Yes, with a download from Tascam if you're using Sonar 2.2. Go to www.tascam.com and go to Products, click on the 1884 and go to Downloads. Then, download the Control Surface for Sonar 2.2.
Run this file and it will install a template into Sonar. Launch Sonar, and the surface will show up in Options - Control Surfaces. Remember to set the proper I/O for the control surface to be the MIDI port FW-1884 Control.
