My MackieControl or Extender won't come online in DP (or other applications that have direct support for the MackieCont).

Make sure the MackieControl and/or the XT is not in HUI emulation mode. To do this, power the unit on while holding the SELECT buttons on channel #1 & 2. You'll be prompted to choose between "HUI" and "MackieControl".
