Included on the Pro Tools LE 6.1 installer CD-ROM is a 30-day demo version of DV Toolkit.
Before Installing the DV Toolkit Demo Please Note:
Contrary to information included in the DV Toolkit PDF electronic guide, the DV Toolkit demo will replace Pro Tools LE 6.1. At the end of 30 days, DV Toolkit demo users will need to either:
1. Purchase and authorize DV Toolkit from a Digidesign Dealer or the DigiStore (an iLok USB authorization key is required).
2. Uninstall the demo and reinstall Pro Tools LE 6.1. Please keep your Pro Tools LE 6.1 CD-ROM installer handy for this purpose.
When reinstalling Pro Tools LE 6.1 on Windows XP, users will be confronted with a multiple-choice dialogue. From the available selections, please choose, "Repair."
Step-by-Step Installation and Removal Information:
Installing DV Toolkit
To install DV Toolkit
1. Install your Pro Tools LE hardware and software.
2. When hardware and software installation is complete, restart your computer.
3. Insert the Pro Tools Installer CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
4. Locate and open the DV Toolkit Installer folder, and double-click the Install DV Toolkit icon.
5. Click Next to begin installation.
The installer process automatically replaces your current Pro Tools LE with a version of Pro Tools LE that provides the Time Code features unique to DV Toolkit, DigiTranslator, and DINR LE.
Removing DV Toolkit forPro Tools LE
If you need to remove DV Toolkit for Pro Tools LE from your computer, refer to the steps for your operating system:
Removing DV Toolkit for Pro Tools LE also removes the Pro Tools LE application.
To reinstall Pro Tools LE on Windows, reinstall Pro Tools from the Pro Tools Installer CD-ROM, and choose Repair in the installer dialog.
To reinstall Pro Tools LE on Macintosh, reinstall Pro Tools from the Pro Tools Installer CD-ROM.

Windows XP
To remove DV Toolkit:
1. Choose Start > Control Panel.
2. Launch Add or Remove Programs.
3. From the Currently installed programs list, select Digidesign DV Toolkit.
4. Click the Change/Remove button.
5. Click OK to remove Digidesign DV Toolkit.
Mac OS X
To remove DV Toolkit:
1. Make sure you are logged in as an Administrator for the account where Pro Tools LE DV is installed. For details on Administrator privileges in Mac OS X, refer to your Mac OS X documentation.
2. Locate and open the DV Toolkit Installer folder, and double-click the Install DV Toolkit icon.
3. Enter your Administrator password and click OK to authenticate the installation.
4. In the Installer window, choose Uninstall from the pop-up menu, and click Uninstall.
5. Click Quit to close the Installer window.
