How do I update the firmware of my Digidesign Mbox in Windows? Where is this file located? I can't find it on the Digidesign website.

The Mbox firmware update is located in your Pro Tools 5.31 or 6.1 directory on your hard drive, it is installed with Pro Tools automatically. As of Oct '03, there is no firmware update on their website for PC. Here's how you upgrade:

Go into My Computer, C drive, Program Files, Digidesign, Pro Tools, Pro Tools Utilities. Double-click MboxFirmwareUpdater.exe and follow the on-screen prompts to check existing firmware. When it asks you to unplug and replug your Mbox, do so, and you should be ready to go!
