Q:
I recently isntalled some third party (audio unit) plugins into DP4.1, and they don't show up in the insert list.
A:
When DP4.1* (or higher) is launched for the first time, it scans for all audio unit plugins. If plugins are installed this point, DP will 'see' them. Follow these steps to allow DP to rescan all AU plugins.
1. Quit all applications, including Digital Performer 2. Open Mac HD > Users > home (your user name) > Library > Preferences. 3. Inside the Preferences folder find and open the folder "Digital Performer" 4. Locate the "Audio Units Info Cache" and drag it into the TRASH. 5. Empty the trash. 6. Launch DP4.1 and check for your new plugins to appear. * Audio units plugins are only supported by DP 4.1 or newer.
