A:
MMERefresh is a program Pro Tools 6.1 put in your Windows startup to help out with MIDI communication to Digidesign hardware and should not be disabled. If you have disabled it, re-enabling it is easy- run MSCONFIG again, go to Startup, and simply check MMERefresh.exe, press OK, and restart your computer.
