How do I setup the Roland XV2020 Editing Software?
A:
The XV-2020 includes Editor and Librarian software applications for both Mac OS 9.X and Windows 98/ME/2000/XP computers. Use the following procedures to set up the software once it has been installed and you have connected the XV-2020 to your computer.
XV Editor Software 1. Launch the XV Editor application. 2. Click Setup > Setup MIDI Device… 3. Select Roland XV-2020 for the four Input and Output boxes, and then click OK. 4. Click Setup > Setup Expansion Boards… 5. If you have any SRX-series Expansion Boards installed in the XV-2020, select them from the lists here and click OK. XV Librarian Software 1. Launch the XV Librarian application. 2. Click Setup > Setup MIDI Devices… 3. Select Roland XV-2020 for the four Input and Output boxes, and then click OK. 4. Click Setup > Select Target Model… 5. Select the XV-2020 radio button and then click OK. Settings on XV-2020 1. Press and hold the VOLUME dial, and then press the VALUE dial. 2. Turn the CATEGORY/BANK dial to GTR/BS and turn the VALUE dial to select On. This tells the XV-2020 to talk to the computer using USB. 3. Press the VALUE dial to confirm your choice of USB communication. 4. Turn the XV-2020 off, and then back on.
