Does Cakewalk Sonar send MIDI commands when it is first launched? If so, what messages are sent?

Yes, Sonar versions 1, 2, 3, and older versions of Cakewalk Pro Audio send MIDI messages when launched and closed.

The message is a Local Control Off on all channels (controller 122) which sets your keyboard to Local Mode (or echo) Off to avoid doubled MIDI notes when sequencing in MIDI.

When exiting, a Local Control On message is sent on all channels (controller 64).
