Q:
Can I use Propellerheads Reason with Emagic Logic 5 on Windows via Rewire?
A:
Yes, be sure to have the latest PC version of Logic, 5.5 from the Emagic website.
1. In the Arrange window, click on Audio 1. 2. At the left side find Cha and it will say 1. Click and hold until the drop-down menu appears, go to Instrument, go to Others (last on the list), and select Mix L. This is your left channel Rewire mix. 3. Repeat for Audio 2, selecting Mix R. 4. Launch Reason. At the top under Audio Out, it should have a green 'light' in Rewire and say below 'Rewire Slave Mode'. This indicates it has made the connection in Logic. Your software is now linked and should work together. You do not need to record the Reason channel in Logic, it all happens in real-time, so playback will use Reason, and when you mixdown your audio the Reason channels will mixdown also.
