On the Roland XP80 , How can I control RPS Externally?
A:
Realtime Phrase Sequences (RPS) on the XP 80 can be controlled by an external MIDI keyboard. Use the following procedure to trigger RPS from an external keyboard:
1. Press SYSTEM. 2. Press F3 [MIDI] repeatedly so "MIDI Param 1" appears at the top of the screen. 3. Use the CURSOR buttons to select "Remote Keyboard Sw." 4. Use the VALUE DIAL to select "ON." 5. Press EXIT. 6. Press the RPS button so it is lit. 7. Play the keys of the external keyboard.
