Adjusting the muffler and snare strainer settings is useful in reducing
unwanted overtones, resonances, or to create a tighter sound. Use the following procedure to adjust muffler and snare strainer settings: 1) Press INST. 2) Press EDIT [F2]. 3) Press MUFFLE [F3]. 4) Strike the pad being used for the snare. 5) Use the CURSOR buttons to select "Muffling." 6) Use the INC/DEC buttons or the VALUE dial to modify the setting. 7) Use the CURSOR buttons to select "Strainer Adj." 8) Use the INC/DEC buttons or the VALUE dial to modify the setting.
