Q:
Digital Performer 4 (4.1, 4.12, etc.) will not record audio despite the fact that the Audio Monitor shows input, and audio is patching through to my outputs.
A:
Trashing preferences has been found to fix this unusual problem. Follow these steps to trash preferences.
1. QUIT DP4 and all other application. 2. Locate the Digital Performer "preferences" folder here: Mac HD > Users > the house icon (you username) > Library > Preferences > Digital Performer. 3. Inside this folder, locate and trash the following files: "Preferences" "MOTU Audio System Prefs" "Filter Definitions" 4. Once these files have been trashed, empty the trash, restart the computer, and try DP again.
