Q:
Why does my Edirol UA1D card seem to lock up and disappear from the USB?
A:
The UA1D is only a half-duplex card, therefore it can either record or playback, but not both at the same time. If you connect cables to both the input and the output of the interface, it will cause it to lockup and drop off the USB.
