Q:
Selecting Performance Memories on the Roland G1000.
A:
The G-1000 stores keyboard settings in Performance Memories. A Performance
Memory can be named and stores settings for Tones, Music Style, tempo, transpose, and volume. There are 192 Performance Memory locations in the G-1000, divided into three groups (A, B, & C) containing 64 memory locations each. Each group of 64 is divided into 8 banks containing 8 Performance Memories each. Use the following procedure to select a Performance Memory: 1) Press SELECT under TONE / PERFORMANCE so that PERFORMANCE is lit. 2) Use the GROUP buttons under TONE / PERFORMANCE to select the desired Group (A, B, or C). 3) Use the number buttons [1-8] under TONE / PERFORMANCE to select the desired Bank. 4) Use the number buttons [1-8] under TONE / PERFORMANCE to select the desired Performance Memory number.
