Q:
Although my M-Audio FireWire audio interface is being initialized correctly (the Blue LED on it’s front panel is lit up solid) I’m getting an error code 3 whenever I try to launch my Firewire 410 control panel in OS 9.2.2.

You will need to install a newer version of the Carbonlib file. This file makes it possible to start carbon-based programs that have originally been developed for MacOS X in Mac OS 9 (e.g. the M-Audio control panel for FireWire devices). You can find an updated version of the Carbonlib file here: docs.info.apple.com
