Q:
When I boot my G4 running OS 10.2.6, connected to a FireWire 410 with a FireWire hard drive connected at the same time, the Firewire 410 driver does not load (blinking blue LED).Why is that and what can I do?
A:
M-Audio is currently investigating a problem on OS X between the FireWire 410 and 1394 hard drives’ connected to the same Firewire bus during the time of boot up.
It is not advisable to have any Firewire devices connected during boot time. Once the Mac is at the desktop, connect the Firewire 410 first and then any external 1394 Firewire hard drives. M-Audio is working to resolve this issue. Please check m-audio.comfor updates and new information.
